WELCOME TO FUNCTIONAL SPEED ACADEMY
Build the Human First, then the athlete.
Functional Speed Academy is home to Golden Strength Academy, our specialized adaptive fitness and human development program for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as FSA Physical Education, Edge Speed Hockey, and private athletic training.
Different populations. Same coaching belief. Same standard.
We use movement, physical education, athletic development, and sport to build confidence, independence, ownership, adaptability, and long-term capability.
Whether someone is building independence and belonging, learning to feel more capable in their body, or chasing high-level athletic goals, we coach the human first.
Performance is built from there.

EXPERTISE YOU CAN TRUST
Different backgrounds. One shared standard.
Our team brings together strength and speed coaches, adaptive specialists, Special Education educators, respite and behavioral support professionals, and experienced movement coaches.
That range of expertise allows us to serve very different people without losing sight of the individual in front of us.
Whether we are coaching an athlete with special needs, a student building physical literacy, a hockey player chasing higher performance, or an athlete training one-on-one, the standard stays the same:
Show up prepared. Coach with intention. Pay attention to the details. Protect dignity and safety. Keep learning. Build the human first.
